Scratch in the Israeli Community – Interactive Media for Kids

Scratch Overview:
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art — and share your creations on the web. Scratch was developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab and ever since its launch was translated into 50 different languages and became popular among million of kids around the world. miLAB is honored to promote Scratch and its unique philosophy behind it in Israel.

Course goals:
-Train students to become Scratch mentors and teach kids in nearby schools
- Create and maintain teaching aids for educators and parents
- Manage Scratch online community
- Help with research

Course credit:
Scratch course is a yearly program which entitles with 2 yearly points for 45 yearly hours in total.
