A location based music discovery network allowing users to share and discover music using natural mood gestures.
Users share their music by tagging a song in a specific location thus creating a location based playlist.
Also, the application encourages users to use natural body gestures to shuffle between songs.
How does it work? SoundSpot runs on Android OS and uses GPS/GPRS to detect a location. Data is stored on a client side for quick reference which in turn stream relevant local tagged music.
Main challenges were: Extrapolating reliable data in process of translating gestures and Maximizing speed and battery usage.
